When you choose the upfront annual membership, you’re securing a discounted rate in exchange for committing to the full 12‑month period. This payment covers your entire membership and is not refundable simply because you decide not to attend.

Can I freeze or pause an upfront annual membership?

No. Upfront memberships cannot be frozen, paused, or suspended during the 12‑month period.

Can I transfer my upfront membership to someone else?

No. Upfront memberships are non‑transferable.

What if I stop attending the gym?

You can stop attending at any time, but no pro‑rata or partial refund will be provided.

Do I still have UK consumer rights?

Yes. Nothing in this agreement removes your statutory rights, including cooling‑off rights (if applicable) or rights relating to breach of contract.

At the end of the initial 12-month period

This annual payment doesn't renew. If you want a membership, you can choose to renew or switch to a different plan.

When does my membership start and end?

Your membership starts immediately and ends automatically after 12 months.

Why is the upfront price discounted?

The discounted rate is offered because you fully commit to the full 12‑month period.

Is this a 12‑month contract?

Yes. You agree to a minimum 12‑month membership period from your start date. If you sign up online, you may have a 14‑day cooling‑off period under UK law

Can I cancel during the 12‑month term?

You may cancel only where you have a legal right to do so (e.g., statutory rights or serious breach). If your circumstance change, discuss it with us.

What happens after the 12‑month term ends?

Your membership continues on a rolling monthly basis unless you choose to cancel. You can cancel by giving 10 days’ notice near the end of the term via email. bookthegym@gmail.com

Before you begin training with us, please take a moment to review the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR‑Q). This helps ensure you exercise safely and responsibly:

  • Has your doctor ever advised you to avoid certain physical activity due to a heart condition?

  • Do you feel chest pain during physical activity?

  • Have you experienced chest pain in the past month when not exercising?

  • Do you lose balance because of dizziness, or have you ever lost consciousness?

  • Do you have a bone or joint problem that could worsen with increased activity?

  • Is your doctor currently prescribing medication for blood pressure or a heart condition?

  • Do you know of any other reason why you should not do physical activity?

If you answered NO to all questions, you can likely exercise safely — just start gradually and increase intensity over time. If you answered YES to any question, please check with your GP before increasing your activity level and follow any guidance they provide.
